A Specialist Microsuction Ear Wax Removal Clinic
Microsuction ear wax removal is a specialist ear cleaning technique that’s more comfortable, faster, and more effective than other methods, such as ear syringing and ear irrigation.
Microsuction ear wax removal is the safest, gentlest, and most effective method of removing ear wax, and usually doesn’t require pre-visit ear wax softeners or drops.
All of our consultation and microsuction services are provided by some of the most experienced practitioners in ear wax removal. London patients have access to some of the best Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialists in the country, with the GPs at Ear Care Lab specialising in microsuction ear wax removal.
The Ear Care Lab team of specialists will use a binocular microscope and a suction device at low pressure to remove wax from the ear canal.

Meet the Ear Care Lab Team
Dr Alex Fragoyannis
MBChB, MRCGP, BSc Med Sci – General Practitioner
Dr Fragoyannis is widely considered an authority in microsuction ear wax removal. London-based Dr Fragoyannis is the founder of Ear Care Lab and is one of the co-founders and lead trainers of the gold standard Ear Care and Microsuction Training Course, which takes place regularly at Charing Cross and West Middlesex Hospitals.
He studied medicine in Aberdeen University, qualifying with commendation in 2001. After gaining valuable experience in several hospital specialities (including multiple ENT-specialist posts), he specialised in General Practice gaining his Royal College of GP qualification and membership in 2006.
Since then, Dr Fragoyannis has gathered wide-ranging experience in several practices, and he has been a partner in Corfton Road Surgery (Ealing) since 2011. He has also been an Imperial College Tutor and Examiner and a Governing Board Member for Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group.
Having performed several thousand microsuction procedures, Dr Fragoyannis is one of the most experienced doctors there is in microsuction ear wax removal. Dr Olivia Codrington
MBBS BSc MRCGP – General Practitioner
Dr Codrington obtained a First Class Honours degree in Biology from Imperial College, London, before studying Medicine at Imperial College, London, qualifying in 2009. She completed multiple acute care posts before deciding to become a GP, obtaining her Royal College Qualification (MRCGP) in 2016.
She has since worked in a number of GP surgeries in the West London area and now works as a salaried doctor at The Corfton Road Surgery. She also runs a successful aesthetics company, as well as continuing to enjoy urgent care work.
Throughout her training, Dr Codrington has had a very keen interest in Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, and is now a very experienced doctor with regards to ear wax removal and other acute ear problems.
Dr Dina Ashraf
MBBS MRCGP Bsc (Hons) PGCert ENT – General Practitioner
Dr Ashraf studied Medicine at Kings College London, and qualified with a MBBS degree and a BSc with Honours in Maternal & Foetal Health Sciences. Since qualifying, she has worked in hospitals in a broad range of specialities, including ENT.
Dr Ashraf has run her own Emergency ENT microsuction clinics in a hospital setting, as well as 24 hour on-call shifts, from which she has gained extensive experience in microsuction ear wax removal and managing ENT conditions.
With such hands-on experience in ENT medicine, Dr Ashraf is an excellent addition to our team and she is keen to further use her knowledge and skills in practice. She is committed to her patients and continuously receives positive feedback from both patients and colleagues. Dr Ashraf prides herself in dedicating her time and working hard for her patients in order to give them the best clinical care.
Dr Sasha Moyes
MA Cantab, PhD, MRCP, MRCGP – General Practitioner
Dr Moyes obtained a degree in Microbiology at Cambridge and then completed her PhD at The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology before studying medicine at Imperial College London, qualifying in 2002. She completed her medical rotation obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and subsequently trained as a GP and completed her Royal College Qualification (MRCGP) in 2011. She worked in New Zealand as a GP for 3 years before returning to England in 2014. She is now a Partner of a Practice in Acton and the Clinical Lead for the Integrated Neighbourhood team for Acton PCN.
She became interested in ear wax removal when she worked with Dr Codrington as a GP, and was trained by Dr Fragoyannis on his Ear Care and MIcrosuction training course. We are delighed that such a hugely experienced doctor is joining us at Ear Care Lab.
